AUBURN, Ala.- A road closure is expected on North Gay Street from Tichenor Avenue to the entrance to Auburn Bank and the AC Hotel on July 12 as emergency repairs are made to a sanitary sewer main near 146 N. Gay Street. The southbound lane of North Gay Street from Glenn Avenue to Tichenor Avenue will also be closed. The closures will begin at 12 p.m. and are expected to last until 9 p.m.

Downtown parking and businesses, including the AC Hotel, will be accessible during the work. No through traffic or trucks will be allowed in the closure area.

Traffic control measures and flagmen will be in place to direct motorists around the closure. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to reduce delays.
